Stage a 3-minute operaÂ
The Opera Cat by Tess Weaver tells the hilarious story of the day the opera diva becomes hoarse and her cat comes to the performance/rescue. After you share this book with the grandchildren, have them divide into momma cats and kittens. Mommas sing in the silliest adult operatic voices, “You have lost your mittens and you shall have no pie!” The kittens in sing in high voices, “Meow meow meow.. Please let us have some pie.” I love finding children’s books about music!
